My wife & I have been coming here for the past 10 years and the quality has ALWAYS been topnotch. Their sushi is always fresh. The albacore sashimi is my go-to favorite. The baked langostino is SO good, along with their lemon roll. I lived in Japan for 4 years, so I've had my share of Japanese culture and cuisine, and no other place in San Diego has come close to this establishment. We could sit here for hours, eating & sucking down the sake. The restaurant is a little on the small side considering the amount of business they do, BUT they have an outdoor seating area now, compliments of covid. The only time seating inside the restaurant actually becomes an issue is on Fridays & Saturdays. The entire neighborhood knows where to find the best sushi in Tierrasanta so it's understandable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that anyone in the mood for some Japanese cuisine should choose Edamame for their dining experience over the others. There are at least 2 other sushi spots in a 1 mile radius, but they cant compete with the quality here. The ONLY thing I don't like about this place is that it isn't open 7 days a week.

Amazing service and fresh food. Came here after hiking with our two year old and intended to take out, but he was so hungry we ended up eating at the tables outside. The kind staff checked on us the whole time and were very child friendly. We enjoyed an unagi bowl, chicken veggie bowl, avocado/salmon roll and Cali roll. Everything was solid and fresh. A very welcoming restaurant!

This is a great neighborhood sushi place. The food is always fresh and delicious. It's kinda small, so seating can be a challenge at peak times, but it's totally worth the wait!! I gave 3 stars for atmo cuz the dining room is plain, but the food and service excel, and that's why you'd go here.

I checked out this place soon after they opened at 4PM on a Thursday. There were already customers waiting for their orders. All of the staff were busy and in good spirits, preparing food, answering the phone, cleaning, etc. It’s always a good sign to see a steady flow of customers and busy staff. I ordered the soft shell crab, calamari steak dinner (Includes a salad and miso soup, gyoza dumplings, California roll) and a sushi roll called the “ex-girlfriend.” Amongst the common sushi rolls they have their house specialties, some with fun names like “hot lips”, “heart attack”, “sin city.” Everything tasted fresh, prepared perfectly and delicious! The soft shell crab is served whole and the calamari steak was tasty and tender. Personally, I’d change the name of my sushi from “ex girlfriend” to “mistress” it’s that good Andrew took care of me and is very nice and professional. I believe Eunice is an owner/manager. She made sure I had enough condiments and threw in a little surprise edamame. I’m looking forward to trying their other menu items.
